Biography

Dylan’s love for sport led him to the field of Athletic Therapy, a perfect match. Graduating in 2011 from Camosun College, Dylan quickly immersed himself in the world of high-performance sport, working with professional and Olympic level athletes at the top of their game.

In his own sporting pursuits, Dylan took multiple tours across the UK and Europe playing soccer with the hope of one day playing professionally. Dylan takes that experience and implements it with his clients on a day-to-day basis. Whether It be with a draft eligible junior hockey player, or an aspiring pickleball athlete, the methods are the same.

When not in the clinic or training himself, Dylan takes every chance to enjoy the recreation opportunities the Oceanside area has to offer. Kayaking and trail running are two of his favorite ways to take his training outside.

Dylan now resides in Parksville with his family and their German Shepherd Odin.

A history of athletic therapy

Dylan has worked with a wide range of athletes that run the gamut from Olympic level rowers to major junior hockey players, to those recovering from joint replacement surgeries. Although he has been a practicing therapist for well over a decade, his time in the fitness industry dates back even longer. He started working in a local gym at 14 and obtained his first personal training certification at 16.

So, with almost 2 decades in the health and wellness space, Dylan has a strong grasp of how to navigate a sometimes-confusing industry filled with short-lived fads and trends.

Dylan’s approach to therapy and training

Dylan believes all therapy and training should be geared towards empowering clients for their long-term success. Spanning the gap between rehabilitation and performance is the key to physical longevity inside or outside of the gym. Dylan utilizes an effective blend of manual therapy with a strong emphasis on strength training to prepare our bodies to meet all the challenges of our modern world and chosen recreational activities.
